Introduction

Hello all, Wolfe reporting.

Just thought I'd introduce myself. As Woodpecker has yet to customize any of the designs, the blog looks a little dull right now. Eventually it'll look nice and clean.

It is my intention to talk about anime here... after all, I'm an Animehead. I'll drop in some words about the Mangas occasionally as well, but as a general rule, I love Anime far more so than Manga. I'm one of the "subs, not dubs" guys. It is my intention to include pictures (screenshots, fanart, and wallpapers) as well as AMV's when discussing any particular anime. We'll post our opinions about the animation styles, plot arcs, etc. etc... pretty much anything and everything we want to about the anime. With luck, we'll gain something of an audience, whereupon they can include themselves in informal banter with us and give us suggestions for good anime.

To start off, I'm a relatively recent Animehead (only about 6 months, now), although it was quite inevitable, thanks to being shown the anime Claymore by my best mate. My current favourite anime is Deadman Wonderland-- if I'm any judge, I think I prefer darker and bloodier anime, but ones that aren't completely centered around fighting or slaughter. I very much enjoy some anime for their plot, and have patience and flexibility when it comes to action-to-plot ratios. I've also seen a lot of the anime centered around a slight romantic tension-- I don't particularly love them, but I end up watching them mindlessly anyhow. My second favourite anime, Steins;Gate, was absolutely amazing when it came to slight romantic tension, plot advancement, and the centralized idea-- if it were only more bloody/dark, it would outrank Deadman Wonderland by a far cry. Unlike my comrade, I can tolerate a weak main character as long as it is either fitting or there are other things to make the anime appealing.

There will probably be anime repeats as myself and Woodpecker post our own posts of the same anime-- we've seen a lot of anime, but several overlap. Occasionally, I'll re-watch an anime, and perhaps I'll make a post when this occurs. With all likelihood, I'll be able to post a lot until I catch up to where I am now, then things'll slow down as I have to wait until I'm finished with an anime before posting about it. As for how often the posts'll be, I can't say with any certainty. Maybe once a weekend for me until I catch up, if I'm lucky.

I'll do my best to post my first anime review this upcoming weekend. Please consider following!
